Annapolis Hotel Elegance: A Distinctive Venue for Your Reunion
Planning a reunion can involve endless logistics, from finding accommodations for everyone in your group to reserving event spaces, so why not cover all your bases at once by renting out our Annapolis bed and breakfast? Our three suites, provide luxury accommodations in an elegant, relaxing, and private setting. Make your reunion seamless and memorable by opting to stay at our distinguished Annapolis bed and breakfast, a unique opportunity.
Our guests can access our shared indoor and outdoor spaces, including our private gardens during the warmer months, for sharing meals and chatting over drinks. We are within walking distance of the United States Naval Academy, the City Dock harbor area, and the historic district. Our concierge service will also help you plan your Annapolis dining experience, and we can make recommendations and reservations for you.
Class, Elegance, and Comfort – Setting the Perfect Scene for Your Reunion
Unlike an Annapolis hotel that lacks personality and character, our guest suites all have beautiful and historical touches. The Iglehart and Rutland Suites have king beds, and each sleeps two guests, with gorgeous wooden antique furniture, an archway in the Iglehart, a brick fireplace in the Rutland, and marble baths in both. Meanwhile, the Murray Suite is a spacious three-room suite, and in addition to a king-sized bed, it has a Murphy bed and sleeps 4 guests. In addition, the Murray Suite has not one but two fireplaces, ideal for relaxing in cozy warmth and catching up with your friends around the fire.
Whether having “early coffee” available to guests in the morning or planning a special group breakfast, we aim to make your stay as comfortable, casual, enjoyable, and smooth-going as possible. Our dining room area is the perfect setting for an intimate wine and cheese gathering, with the chandelier, fireplace, and art-lined walls setting the mood for socializing. Play music from your graduation, and bring old photos to return the nostalgia while sipping champagne and nibbling on cheese and crackers, all of which we’re happy to help arrange.
Navigating Local Schools and Alumni Ties from Our Annapolis Hotel
We’re proud neighbors of several schools in downtown Annapolis, including the USNA (United States Naval Academy), St. John’s College (famously the 3rd-oldest college in the country), and St. Mary’s Parish (a private, Catholic college prep academy). If you went to one of these schools, staying at our downtown Annapolis location will put you in the heart of memory lane, where you can walk the same streets with your old friends as you did years ago in your halcyon days. We’re just a block from Gate 1 at the United States Naval Academy, where you can stroll around with your fellow midshipmen and recall the memories of living in Bancroft Hall surrounding the quad. For an extra fun-filled weekend, plan your reunion around one of the Navy home football games, like Homecoming, set to take place on October 19th, 2024, or the many Annapolis boat shows, the Reinesanse Festival or the Seafood Festival.
We’re also just a two-block walk from the idyllic St. John’s College campus, nestled between College Ave and the waters of College Creek. Plan your St. John’s reunion with your core group of college buddies. Join the official St. John’s Alumni Week, September 27-29, 2024, or plan your stay during the annual rivalry between the Johnnies of St. John’s College and the midshipmen of the U.S. Naval Academy at the Annapolis Cup Croquet Match held every year in the spring. Next year’s Annapolis Cup in April 2024 will mark its 40th anniversary
Restaurants, Bars, and Nightlife Just Blocks Away and Planning Your Reunion Around Special Annapolis Events
One of the best aspects of staying with us in downtown Annapolis for your reunion is that the planning is simple. Everything nearby is walkable, with award-winning restaurants, bustling taverns, downtown scenery by the water, and nightly entertainment just minutes away.
In one direction, heading toward College Creek and right by the Navy football stadium (convenient if you plan to see a game with your reunion group), plan a dinner night at Flamant. An upscale French restaurant with legit culinary chops, share a charcuterie board and entrees like tri-tip while sipping on spiced bourbon, Aperol spritz cocktails, and wines from around the world. Heading towards the harbor in the other direction – scenic waterways surround us – plan a special night out with your reunion crew at Harry Browne’s, O’Leary’s, or any of the fine Annapolis restaurants we list on our website. Crab cakes, oysters on the half shell, and Maine lobster are all legendary, along with a wine list running several pages long. O’Leary’s has a semi-private room available to rent and will include specific appetizers, main dishes, and cocktails, accommodating everyone’s dietary needs in your group. For casual drinks on the town, check out Dock St Bar & Grill (a homey feel like the show Cheers and a longtime gathering place for Navy midshipmen) and the Federal House, where you’ll find over 20 beers on tap, live music, and a lively atmosphere.
To make your Annapolis reunion even more memorable, plan it to coincide with some of the city’s main events, like the Let’s Go Music Fest in the spring, Crab Feast at the height of summer, or the autumn version of the Sailboat Show in October. While Annapolis hotel rooms will likely already be booked for these weekends, plan early with us for your whole inn rental and make your reunion gathering extra fun by attending these classic Annapolis festivities together.
